Mukilteo is a waterfront community situated on Puget Sound in Snohomish County, about 25 miles north of Seattle, Wa.   This scenic area has views of the Olympic Mountains to the west and the Northern Cascade  Mountains to the north and east.

The San Juan Islands are an archipelago in the NW corner of the US between the US mainland and Vancouver Island, British Columbia, & Canada. The San Juan Islands are part of Washington State.
In the archipelago, six islands are accessible by passenger ferry operated by the Washington State Ferries system.

If you find yourself driving up to Mount Rainier this spring make sure you take time to stop on the South side of the road and enjoy these beautiful fields of tulips just off Hwy 12 between Mossyrock and Morton.

Mount Shuksan is a glaciated massif in the North Cascades National Park. Shuksan rises in Whatcom County, Washington immediately to the east of Mount Baker, and 11.6 miles south of the Canadian border.

There is no road access to Stehekin, though several miles of road exist there. It is reachable by passenger ferry, by hiking over the Cascade Pass, The Lady of the Lake, or private boat from Chelan, or by floatplane
Sights to see in Stehekin include the Buckner Homestead Historic District, Purple Point- Stehekin Ranger Station House, Stehekin Pastry Company, the one-room  Stehekin SchoolHouse, The  312' Rainbow Falls, and Harlequin Bridge. Stehekin is a great destination for hikers and bikers in the summer, and snowshoers and skiers in the winter. Stehekin is enjoyed by photographers year-round.

Leavenworth,Wa. is home to the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum, which opened in 1995 and contains more than 5,000 Nutcrackers. The entire town center has a Bavarian Village theme.

Decatur Island

Decatur Island is one of the San Juan Islands in Washington state, located just east of Lopez Island across Lopez Sound and just south of Blakely Island across Thatcher Pass. It is 3.524 square miles in area.
There is no Washington State Ferry service to Decatur; access is by private boat. Paraclete Charter Service and Island Express Charters provide passenger-only ferry service to Decatur from Anacortes. Northwest Sky Ferry provides air service from Bellingham, Washington. There are no public facilities other than one public boat ramp on the north side of the island.
