Port Angeles is situated on the northern edge of the Olympic Peninsula along the shore of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It features a long and narrow natural sandspit named Ediz Hook(which houses a coast guard base on the end) that projects north-easterly nearly three miles into the Strait, creating a large, natural deep-water harbor shielded from the storms and swells that move predominantly eastward down the Strait from the Pacific Ocean. The harbor is deep enough to provide anchorage for most kinds of ocean-going ships.

    WELCOME TO WASHINGTON STATE DESTINATIONS

    Picture
Snoqualmie Pass- photo credit - KCVensel Photography

Take a Photo Tour of Washington State!

As of July 2011 , Washington State officially became the ONLY state to completely eliminate our tourism bureau! WE NEED TO PROMOTE WASHINGTON STATE NOW MORE THAN EVER! We have formed a marketing program designed to help inform visitors of ALL the GREAT things to do here while on a vacation, business trip or weekend getaway!

We have developed an affordable easy way for Washington State towns and the businesses in them work with "Everything Washington" and other Destinations in Washington State and various other U.S. States.

Washington is a leading lumber producer. Its rugged surface is rich in stands of Douglas fir, hemlock, ponderosa and white pine, spruce, larch, and cedar. The state holds first place in apples, lentils, dry edible peas, hops, pears, red raspberries, spearmint oil, and sweet cherries, and ranks high in apricots, asparagus, grapes, peppermint oil, and potatoes. Livestock and livestock products make important contributions to total farm revenue and the commercial fishing catch of salmon, halibut, and bottom fish makes a significant contribution to the state's economy.
